Painting Study

A pose and light study I did of my friends Dungeons and Dragons character!

I used a painting by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingreshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jupiter_and_Thetis

as a reference, I loved this style back in art school and wanted to find a way to put my own spin on the pose and characters. I was really focusing on linework quality and grayscale for this piece. The work is technically not done, I put a lot of hours into it and then shelved it but do plan on coming back to it someday.
